Major advance in the fight against MDR-TB: four new short and effective treatments from independent clinical trials approved by the WHO

This week, the WHO recommended four new treatments for patients with MDR-TB.

Three of the regimens were from the End TB trial, and one was from the BEAT-

Tuberculosis trial. All four new recommendations include shorter-course treatments, and

the End TB regimens include some of the first endorsements of short-course treatments

for children, adolescents, and pregnant women. Learn more here.
