Life-saving DR-TB treatments even more affordable following newest bedaquiline price decrease

The lowest cost of the full BPaLM regimen, which is the most recommended treatment for drug resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB), has now dropped to $284 per course, the lowest it has ever been. The Stop TB Partnership’s Global Drug Facility announced that bedaquiline produced by Lupin has reached a 30% price reduction, which makes it available for $63 per treatment course. In addition to two earlier TB-related price reductions, key DR-TB treatments are on their way to becoming more affordable and accessible for many. Read more here.
