President Donald Trump has cut around $2.5 billion in funding to USAID health programs since his inauguration, limiting funding and resources to tackle tuberculosis. This funding cut could allow for tuberculosis cases to rise in the US, as individual’s treatments have been compromised or halted and the likelihood for drug-resistant tuberculosis infections is increasing.
