Dr. Hewisons is a Medical doctor, working as a tuberculosis advisor in the Medical Department of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF, Operational Centre Paris) since 2005. This role includes advising MSF projects worldwide on different aspects of tuberculosis diagnosis and management. She has a particular interest in the introduction of bedaquline, delamanid and re-purposed drugs to improve outcomes of drug resistant tuberculosis treatment. She is Chairman of the endTB Medical Committee, participating in the endTB project and observational study, and leader of the  MSF TB Working Group since 2020.
